Yesterday afternoon at 15:00, while kiting at Dolphin Beach, my car was stolen. This post is a reminder to be on the look out for suspicious characters who seem out of place. The security guards were on duty at this time. If in doubt, phone the police. It’s a tough reality, but there are people watching your every move, waiting for a gap to steal your car, kites and personal belongings. Kiters and surfers are targets for this kind of theft, as car keys are kept in water pouches, safety devices etc that can sometimes be tracked/accessed by these criminals. Please be vigilent about your safety when enjoying the wonders of our sea. It’s a harsh reality of living in Africa. This is the second time I have been burnt this year, but I am not going to let it deter me, only share my experiences with others, so they can prevent such incidents happening to them. JL
