Winter is the time where we reflect on the past year and think about what we want to do differently and what we want to achieve for the coming months. Some great kiteboarding events and festivals stand out in our memories, and we look forward to the buzz and vibe of it all when summer returns. I have been working with sponsors like Resolution, to ensure that we maximise on the opportunities we have created to bring you, the readers and participants, a better experience next time. Events like the Sodwana Bay Kiteboarding festival, the Doodles Long Ocean event, The Resolution Downwind Dash, the JEEP South Coast Carnival and The Cape Dash, all form an integral role in bringing us together as a community to have fun doing what we love.  

GUST would like to facilitate more co-operation among sponsors and organisers, to ensure that the events are grown to their full potential, with the objective of bringing back an SA ranking and title holder. If you are an event organiser, please contact me with the provisional dates and disciplines, so that we can start communicating and collaborating to achieve this. Now is the time.
