Kenya - Cape to Kenya Kite Adventure

Kenya is becoming an increasingly popular kitesurfing destination for South Africans. The typical kiting season begins in December, as the Kaskazi (north east) wind prevails, blowing a steady 15-30 knots though until March. However, the south east monsoon trade takes affect from beginning of June through to mid-September and is generally stronger providing better wave-riding conditions.

Linsday Kennaway, who hosts kiters at her lodge, Kennaways at Diani beach is a friend of GUST magazine. She met with us at the GUST offices many years ago and we helped her gain momentum with her exciting venture from Cape Town all the way home to Kenya.
